10 ‘Star Trek’ Technologies That Actually Exist

startreknology.jpg~originalWe remember while growing up seeing our first re-run of Star Trek TOS, and thought wow that is so amazing. The future was going to be a cool place where we could travel through space and meet lots of interesting lifeforms, yes including She-Hulk green women! But the most fun and amazing part was all of the tech. Fast forward to the 80′s where Star Trek TNG popped up on the scene with all kinds of new tech.

I remember saying how cool it will be to have those kinds of things and oddly enough I was told that we would never have them. Well double dumbass on that person!

Whether it’s deep space or the deepest depths of the ocean, truly brilliant machines can operate in all sorts of extreme conditions. While the U.S.S. Enterprise doesn’t exist (yet!), there are other technologies out there that seem to be taking cues from Star Trek’s amazing portrayal of the future.
